Coltsfoot herb — has anti-inflammatory, expectorant, spasmolytic, and diaphoretic effects. It is used in diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by cough, liquefies and removes sputum, relieves inflammation and clears the airways.
Marshmallow root — has the enveloping, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant properties. It soothes cough, relieves bronchial spasms in bronchial asthma, and promotes rapid healing of mucous membranes. Active ingredients of marshmallow liquefy the sputum and stimulate its discharge, activating the motility of the respiratory tract.
Plantain leaf — produce the expectorant effect, remove sputum, exhibit antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, and wound healing properties.
Lime blossom — possess anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, antimicrobial, expectorant, and antipyretic properties. They are used in diseases of the respiratory system accompanied by cough, runny nose, and fever.
Chamomile flowers — exhibit antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. They are used in treatment of colds and acute respiratory diseases, soften and moisturize the mucous membrane of the throat and respiratory tract, improve sputum discharge, eliminate cough and its manifestations in the form of tickling and mucus accumulation in bronchi.
Sage herb — has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and soothing effects. It relieves swelling of the tonsils and increases protective properties of the body.
Licorice root — contains saponins, i.e. substances irritating mucous membrane of the lungs, which stimulate secretion of the epithelium and improve the expectoration. Licorice makes sputum less viscous, so it is easier and faster to excrete. In addition, licorice relieves inflammation and has a tonic effect.
Melilot herb — has anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antiseptic, diaphoretic, and analgetic effects. It is used in diseases of the respiratory system, chronic bronchitis, cough, and acute respiratory diseases.
