Ivy leaf — leaves contain saponins that inhibit the fungi growth and have an antibacterial effect, carotene (provitamin A), vitamin E, organic acids, iodine.

Ivy extract has anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antispasmodic, antibacterial, antifungal, haemostatic, wound healing and diuretic effects.

Ivy is recommended for coughs, bronchitis, bronchial asthma therapy.

Ivy is also used for gouty arthritis, arthrosis, arthritis, rheumatism treatment; otitis media (the middle ear inflammation) and bladder inflammation treatment.

Externally, this extract is used to remove warts, calluses, adipose tumours, to improve hair growth.
