Pine needles – has anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antimicrobial effects, is a diuretic, vitamin and blood cleanser agent.

It’s taken orally for treatment of inflammatory diseases of the joints, genitourinary system, respiratory tract (bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, sore throat, influenza); gastrointestinal diseases (gastritis with high acidity, hepatitis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer, colitis); metabolic disorders (Glisson's disease, gouty arthritis, hypoascobemia, anaemia).

In thrombophlebitis, the needles extract relieves inflammation of the veins, prevents thrombosis.

It’s externally used for skin diseases, for soothing baths in neuroses, for treatment of the musculoskeletal system diseases (osteochondrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis); for steam inhalations and as a general tonic agent.
