Lycopene oleoresin — is a natural organic pigment of the carotenoid class, which imparts the color to certain herbaceous plants. Lycopene performs a number of important functions in the human body and primarily exhibits antioxidant properties; it binds free radicals and prevents cell destruction, thereby reducing the risk of damage to organs and tissues of the body by free radicals. Besides, lycopene is capable of reducing the risk of development of cardiovascular diseases and tumors, in particular prostate tumors. Lycopene inhibits cell mutation, slows down the aging processes and osteoporosis, normalizes cholesterol metabolism, and prevents the risk of atherosclerosis. Lycopene activates digestion, suppresses pathogenic intestinal flora and fungi of the genus Candida, and promotes weight loss. It also strengthens the walls of blood vessels and capillaries, nourishes and rejuvenates the skin, and reduces the strength of allergic reactions
